CySEC RBS-F Form for CIF reporting year 2024

CySEC RBS-F Form for CIF reporting year 2024

On May 9, 2025, the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) issued Circular C706, announcing the release of Version 10 of the Risk-Based Supervision Framework (RBSF-CIF) form. This updated form is part of CySEC’s ongoing efforts to streamline regulatory reporting and reduce administrative burdens on Cyprus Investment Firms (CIFs).

The updated RBSF-CIF form applies to the reporting period from 1 January to 31 December 2024.

All CIF entities authorised by 31 December 2024, including those that have not commenced operations, are required to submit the completed form electronically via CySEC’s Transaction Reporting System (TRS) by Friday, 13 June 2025. Notably, Version 10 of the form introduces a significant reduction in the information required compared to previous versions, as several data points have now been incorporated into the revised QST-CIF form.

Notable Amendments in Version 10

The following sections have been removed:

  • Section E
  • Section F
  • Section H
  • Section J
  • Section P
  • Section D : Clients’ Assets: Questions 2 through 6 have been removed.
  • Section G: Services: Points 1.3 to 1.9 and Questions 2 through 5 have been removed.
  • Section N: Internal Policies and Procedures: Questions 45 through 59 have been removed.

In regard to the naming convention Username_yyyymmdd_RBSF-CIF, the Username denotes the TRS credentials of the regulated entity and yyyymmdd is the end date of the reporting period of the form.

The RBS-F Form is required to be completed in the English language, and report data in Euro rounded to the nearest unit.

In case any CIF fails to comply with the reporting obligation, it may be subject to administrative penalties in accordance with section 37(5) of the CySEC Law.
