SALVUS Delivers MiCA Authorisation for Ronin
Limassol, Cyprus – July 2026 – SALVUS announces that it has supported RONIN EM LIMITED in securing authorisation from the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) as a Crypto-Asset Service Provider (CASP) under the Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) Regulation.
The authorisation was granted in June 2026, ahead of the formal end of the MiCA transitional period across the European Union on 1 July 2026. This places RONIN EM LIMITED among the first Cyprus-authorised CASPs entering the fully applicable MiCA regime from the start of its post-transition phase.
RONIN EM LIMITED is the owner and administrator of em.ron.in and its related services. The platform is dedicated to tailor-made crypto services for bespoke clients, with a focus on professional clients, institutional counterparties, asset managers, high-net-worth individuals, and corporate clients. Its public materials describe the business as providing high-performance infrastructure for the institutional landscape, with emphasis on deep liquidity, custody solutions, market access, tokenisation, digital asset services, and regulated operational infrastructure.
The authorisation also marks a significant step for the wider Ronin group presence in Cyprus. Ronin Europe describes itself as an independent Cyprus financial company providing investment services to private clients and legal entities, including brokerage, portfolio management, and custody services. RONIN EM LIMITED now represents a dedicated crypto-assets entity within that broader financial services context.
SALVUS supported the project across the full authorisation process, including initial regulatory strategy, the business plan and programme of operations, policies and procedures, AML and compliance framework, risk management framework, ICT and DORA-related support, application preparation, regulator correspondence, and post-approval support.
The SALVUS mandate was guided by Nikolas Xenofontos, Managing Director of SALVUS, who supported the Licensing and Crypto-Assets teams on application strategy and regulator liaison.
“MiCA has raised the standard for crypto-asset service providers entering the European market. It requires firms to evidence substance, governance, risk management, AML controls, safeguarding arrangements, ICT resilience, and a clear operating model,” said Nikolas Xenofontos, Managing Director of SALVUS. “RONIN EM LIMITED approached the process with the seriousness expected of an established financial services group entering a regulated crypto-assets environment. We are pleased that SALVUS supported the team through the authorisation strategy, application process, regulator engagement, and post-approval readiness.”
The approval comes at an important moment for the European crypto-assets sector. As the MiCA transitional period ends, the market is moving from fragmented national arrangements to a harmonised European framework. For Cyprus, the authorisation further supports the jurisdiction’s development as a credible European base for firms that combine crypto-asset activity with governance, compliance infrastructure, and regulatory substance.
“Securing MiCA authorisation is an important milestone for RONIN EM LIMITED and for the development of our dedicated crypto-assets offering,” said Pawel Cichowski, Chief Executive Officer of RONIN EM LIMITED. “The process required discipline across governance, compliance, risk, technology, and operational readiness. SALVUS supported us in navigating the authorisation process in a structured and practical way, while keeping the focus on long-term regulatory expectations rather than only the application itself.”
SALVUS continues to support crypto-asset service providers with MiCA authorisation strategy, application preparation, AML and risk frameworks, governance arrangements, ICT and DORA readiness, regulator correspondence, and ongoing compliance obligations.
