SALVUS successfully completes another FINTRAC MSB registration in Canada

The Regulatory & Licensing Team at SALVUS is pleased to announce the successful completion of another Money Services Business (MSB) registration with the Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada (FINTRAC).

SALVUS provided comprehensive, end-to-end support throughout the engagement, guiding the client from the incorporation of the Canadian company through to the successful completion of the FINTRAC registration process.

A central part of our approach is ensuring that each application is complete, properly structured, and supported by the necessary documentation before submission. This helps minimize potential delays and reduces the likelihood of extensive follow-up requests during FINTRAC’s review. 

Our team worked closely with the client to collect and review the relevant corporate, ownership, operational, and compliance documentation in advance. We also supported the client in preparing for common information requests from FINTRAC, including lease agreements, evidence of a genuine office presence, ownership documentation, and supplementary questionnaires concerning the proposed business activities. 

Throughout the registration process, SALVUS managed communications with FINTRAC and coordinated the preparation and submission of responses to additional information requests, ensuring that all matters were addressed accurately and efficiently.
