SALVUS chosen to lead Prime Financials’ regulatory expansion

SALVUS Funds has entered into a three-year strategic agreement with Prime Financials, an institutional ecosystem for prime brokerage and global market access, to deepen their collaboration and support Prime Financials’ continued growth and international regulatory expansion.

Our group’s multidisciplinary regulatory compliance and licensing advisory will be utilised in an agreement that formalises and extends more than two years of close cooperation between the two firms. During this period, SALVUS has advised Prime Financials on key regulatory milestones, including in successfully securing its Investment Dealer (Full Service excluding Underwriting) licence under the FSC in Mauritius and directly or indirectly, supporting the broader build-out across multiple exchanges, securities financing for listed equities and investment-grade bonds, and the introduction of stablecoin settlement rails for institutional clients.

Under the enhanced mandate, SALVUS will continue to provide regulatory strategy, licensing and compliance advisory services to Prime Financials as it broadens its regulatory footprint. Priority workstreams include the pursuit of:

  • a Virtual Asset licence in Mauritius,
  • an MSB licence in Canada, and
  • a broker-dealer licence within Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM).

These initiatives are designed to complement Prime Financials’ existing prime brokerage capabilities and to support its clients with robust, multi-jurisdictional market access across both traditional and digital asset markets.

“Prime Financials encapsulates what we value most in our long-term relationships: discipline in execution, respect for regulation and a clear ambition for sustainable growth. Over the past years we have seen the team consistently deliver on complex projects across multiple jurisdictions. We are pleased to formalise this mandate and remain committed to supporting Prime Financials as it continues to scale its business and regulatory footprint globally.” Was what Nikolas Xenofontos, Managing Director at SALVUS, shared at the moment of signing the agreement, also adding that “There is no shortage of regulatory and operational challenges in our sectors. Working alongside a partner such as Prime Financials, where our advisory work is embedded in their strategic decision-making, makes overcoming those challenges both meaningful and rewarding for all involved.”

Leading Prime Financials, Elie Afram, CEO, commented that “Our collaboration with SALVUS has been an important enabler of our expansion to date. Their experience with prudentially-regulated brokers, investment firms and fintechs – and their ability to translate regulatory expectations into pragmatic solutions – has been integral to our licensing and governance framework. Extending this relationship on a multi-year basis reflects our confidence in SALVUS as a long-term regulatory partner as we continue to grow our global platform.”

The agreement provides a clear framework for coordinated, cross-border work, combining Prime Financials’ prime brokerage and financing capabilities with SALVUS’ regulatory and licensing expertise to support institutional clients with transparent, well-governed access to multiple markets.
