SALVUS x EFAMA collaboration: EFAMA Contributions 2027 data submission
We are pleased to highlight SALVUS’ continued contribution to the development and reporting of investment fund statistics in Cyprus through our involvement with the Cyprus Investment Funds Association (CIFA) and its cooperation with the European Fund and Asset Management Association (EFAMA).
As an active member of CIFA, SALVUS participates in the Association’s Statistics and Fund Research Committee, contributing to the collection, review, preparation and submission of statistical information relating to the Cyprus investment funds industry. SALVUS’ participation forms part of the wider cooperation between CIFA and European industry bodies, including EFAMA, supporting the availability of reliable and comparable investment fund data at both national and European level.
Through our involvement in the Committee, SALVUS contributes alongside relevant stakeholders to the preparation and submission of comprehensive statistical data on the Cyprus investment funds industry, including information reported to EFAMA. This builds on our longstanding involvement in Cyprus investment fund statistics and our commitment to supporting the continued development and international positioning of the Cyprus funds sector.
Cyprus Investment Fund Data Submitted for End-2025
As part of the latest reporting exercise, SALVUS contributed to the preparation of the Association’s estimate of the net assets of Cyprus-domiciled investment funds at the end of 2025 by researching, compiling and reviewing relevant investment fund data. This included assessing EFAMA reporting and other industry sources, validating the information available, and ensuring that the estimate was prepared consistently with EFAMA’s reporting requirements and methodology.
SALVUS also conducted independent research and verification of official investment fund statistics published through the European Central Bank. We reviewed the relevant ECB Data Portal data, assessed the appropriate statistical measure, and supported the reconciliation of the Association’s estimate against official figures. This work involved data analysis, source verification and methodological assessment, including distinguishing investor-attributable fund values from gross balance-sheet assets, to ensure the information submitted was accurate, relevant and appropriately supported.
Supporting Reliable European Investment Fund Statistics
EFAMA regularly publishes European investment fund statistics covering UCITS and Alternative Investment Funds across European jurisdictions, including Cyprus. Its statistical releases provide industry participants, policymakers and other stakeholders with comparable information on fund net assets, net sales and broader developments across the European investment management sector.
For December 2025, EFAMA’s monthly statistics covered investment fund data across 29 European countries, including Cyprus, contributing to a broader overview of the European investment fund market.
SALVUS’ participation in CIFA’s Statistics and Fund Research Committee reflects our wider commitment to contributing to the development of the Cyprus financial services and investment funds ecosystem. Through collaboration with industry associations, regulatory authorities and other market participants, we continue to support initiatives that strengthen the quality, transparency and international comparability of Cyprus investment fund information.
Our involvement also complements the work of the SALVUS Investment Funds Licensing Team, which assists Investment Funds and Fund Managers with establishment, licensing, regulatory compliance and ongoing requirements in Cyprus and other jurisdictions.
