We are delighted to announce that SALVUS Funds has now become an Administrative Service Provider (ASP) under the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC).

CySEC is the regulatory authority in Cyprus responsible for supervising Cyprus Investment Firms (CIF), Alternative Investment Fund Managers (AIFM), and Crypto-Asset Services Providers (CASP) that offer their services in or from Cyprus. In the last decade, CySEC has been at the forefront of helping transform the island into becoming a fintech hub. Now, some of the world’s biggest online trading firms, CFD brokerages, and crypto exchanges dominate the global investment services market from Cyprus.

In addition to regulating the Cypriot investment services market, CySEC is also responsible for supervising Administrative Service Providers which now also includes us, SALVUS Funds. Our license was granted earlier this year and marks an important milestone for our team. Providing value to our clients is our number one priority and being able to offer additional services to help solve our clients’ problems is something we take immense pride in.

The Law Regulating Companies Providing Administrative Services and Related Matters (196(Ι)/2012), which was introduced in 2012, and more recently modified in 2020, aims to offer client protection and help strengthen the overall confidence of the industry. Additionally, the introduction of the Law that regulates the Administrative Service Providers, standardises the knowledge required to provide key administrative services. This ensures key regulatory frameworks such as the anti-money laundering (AML) framework are followed, and regulatory compliance is achieved.

As an ASP, we can help our clients with the below administrative services among others:

• Facilitate the incorporation of companies
• Provide directorship and secretarial services to legal persons, including, acting as a nominee director or secretary
• Offer the choice of having our clients’ companies’ registered addresses in our offices
• Offer the services of an escrow agent
• Facilitate the opening of personal and corporate bank accounts
