SALVUS adopts 1000 pine trees through Prasini Aspida

At SALVUS, we believe in meaningful support beyond statements.

Following the devastating wildfires that struck Cyprus earlier this summer, we expressed our commitment to supporting science-led reforestation and habitat restoration efforts on the island. Today, we are proud to share a tangible step in that direction.

SALVUS has adopted 1,000 pine trees through the initiative Prasini Aspida, a respected Cyprus-based NGO working to restore natural habitats and help the land heal after the fires.

This adoption reflects not only our solidarity with the affected communities – including members of our own team – but also our enduring belief that recovery requires long-term partnership and credible action. We are especially proud to support Prasini Aspida, whose efforts combine local knowledge, ecological expertise, and grassroots mobilisation.

But this is just the beginning.

We renew our call for credible, science-anchored, and impact-driven environmental initiatives in Cyprus, including those active in reforestation, soil stabilization, water management, and biodiversity recovery. If you or your organisation are engaged in this space and seeking support – financial, volunteer-based, or otherwise – we welcome your outreach.

As we continue this journey, the SALVUS team will also participate in upcoming tree planting activities, and we look forward to contributing both on the ground and behind the scenes. We are in this for the long haul – and we want to work with those who are too.
