The CySEC Basic, Advanced & Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Certifications. These preparation courses are geared toward individuals who are appointed or are interested in being appointed in key positions such as Members of the Board, the AML Compliance Officers (AMLCO) or the Head of Dealing on Own Account in Cyprus Investment Firms (CIF).

The Basic, Advanced & AMLCO Certifications ensure professionals have the necessary knowledge and can fulfil their assigned duties with competence. The successful candidates will be registered in the Public Register of Certified Persons and AML Compliance Officers Register.

These CySEC Certification preparation courses are also aimed at professionals looking to enhance their knowledge and acquire Continuous Professional Development (CPD) units. These CPD units are a necessary annual requirement to remain a certified member in CySEC’s public register.

The assessment for the:

– Basic Certification is through an examination consisting of 50 multiple choice questions within 60 minutes and the Basic syllabus, as issued by CySEC.
– Advanced Certification is through an examination consisting of 70 multiple choice questions within 90 minutes and the Advanced syllabus, as issued by CySEC.
– AMLCO Certification is through an examination consisting of 40 multiple choice questions within 60 minutes and the AML syllabus, as issued by CySEC.
