In 2023, the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) certification was released to help enhance the knowledge and skillsets of professionals wanting to pursue Legal and Accounting careers within compliance and AML in Cyprus. The Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC) and the Cyprus Bar Association (CBA) has come together to establish a nationally recognised AML compliance certification using the best international standards.

The AML certification is aimed at AML Compliance Officers (AMLCO) that are currently or recently appointed an AMLCO at ICPAC or CBC firms to ensure they are fit and proper to perform their AML compliance duties. Hence, all current or newly appointed AMLCO are required to obtain the AML certification to maintain their position at a regulated ICPAC or CBA firm in Cyprus. Additionally, the AML exam can also be undertaken by aspiring AMLCO professionals including professionals that want to increase their knowledge and understanding of the AML regulatory framework.

How we can help professionals successfully prepare for the AML certification exam for ICPAC and CBA professionals

Since 2020, we have been collaborating with the Institute for Professional Excellence (IforPE) to share our knowledge and expertise with professionals operating in financial services.
